Hello. I am your gym instructor, Asami Sugita.

I've been to the horse riding myself and I learned how important it was to communicate with horses, rather than being athletic.

I realized that 'horse-riding' didn't only mean actually on the horseback, but read their mind, communicate with them heart to heart.

Horses also have moods and I experienced that they didn't want to walk when they were not in good mood!

Of course, control techniques will be required to improve your horse riding skills but also communicate with our minds might be also as important as other technical requirements.


Interestingly, your body and mind are very well synchronized – means if you are stressed, your body reflects that.

My point is that your mental flexibility might be as important as your physical flexibility.


Relax and enjoy, try to be honest to your feelings.


Horses feel and react to you happily if you are enjoying the moment and have positive vibes!


Here, we are talking about how you can approach to your body.

Today's exercise is focus on hip joint stretch.

*Stretching is more effective if you approach to the muscles from all directions.

Therefore it will be more effective to do several exercises together rather than just doing one set of exercise.

1. Sit on the gym ball with your legs wide open. Ideally, you can bend your knees in 90 degrees.

2、 Cross your hands and push it up towards your head. Imagine each of your spine bone slowly pulled upwards.

3、Keep pulling yourself up and then slowly bend your upper body to touch the ground.

Ensure to stretch your back as much as you can and place hands as far from your body as possible.

Keep this posture and move your body on right and left slowly.

Ensure that you are stretching your hip joints.Take it easy and keep on breathing – your muscles will be tightened if you hold your breath.

4、If above is too easy for you; you can try touching your elbows on ground and swing sideways slowly.

By doing this, you can get better stretch on your hip joint.

If you over do, it will not be as effective. Relax and stop when it became too painful.

Take your time and stretch slowly and gently - you may damage your muscle or joints if you do it too quickly.

Last but not least, it is important for you to have fun!
